Frequently Asked Questions

Which division should I sign my child up for? 
Tee Ball 6U- Age 6 years and under. (Typically preschool age and kindergartners).

Coach Pitch 8U- Age 8 years and under. Cannot turn 9 before May 1st. (Younger children may play up to coach pitch if they have previous baseball experience and they feel they are ready).

Minors 10U- Age 10 years and under. Cannot turn 11 before May 1st. (Younger children may play up to minors if they have played at least 1 year of coach pitch and feel they are ready).

Majors 12U- Age 12 years and under. Cannot turn 13 before May 1st. (Younger children may play up to majors if they have played at least one year of minors and feel they are ready).

Hot Stove 14U- Age 14 Years and under. Cannot turn 15 before May 1st. (Younger children may play up to hot stove if they have played at least one year of majors and they feel they are ready).

What equipment is needed/recommended?

Tee Ball- Glove, Bat, Helmet 
8U, 10U, 12U, 14U - Glove, Bat, Helmet, Bag, Cleats, Pants (tip- wait to purchase pants, because some coaches would like the whole team to have the same color.)

How are teams formed for the season?
Players are drafted to teams after league evaluations are held.

How often are practices and games?
Practices are usually twice a week until the start of games. Once games have started for the season you will only play games unless the coach decides to add a practice here and there.

When and where are games played?
Tee Ball- Monday and Wednesdays at Wooster Twp Fields

8U Coach Pitch- Tuesday and Thursday at Wooster Twp Fields

10U Minors- Tuesday and Thursday. Home games are played at Triway- Miller Fields

12U Majors- Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Home games are played at Triway- Miller Fields

14U Hot stove-  Days tend to vary. Home games are played at Piper Fields

Can I volunteer to coach?
Yes! Please see volunteer opportunities under the registration tab or reach out via email.  

Are there any bat restrictions?

Tee Ball: No Restrictions

Coach Pitch: No Restrictions (USSSA or USA) 

Minors: No Restrictions (USSSA or USA)

Majors: No Restrictions (USSSA or USA)

Hot Stove: HIGHLY RECOMMEND, 7th graders (-8 max), 8th graders (-5 max). Although there are no restrictions, High School players will move to (BBCORE -3) and it is in the players best interest to start working towards high school requirements.

What do my registration fees go towards?
Hats and jerseys, game balls, field maintenance and improvements, umpires, portable restrooms, and other miscellaneous expenses.
